EXPERIENCE
I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with FreeMind Therapy, and I have worked in the mental health field since 2017. I have been providing counselling services since graduating with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Victoria.
As a Mètis person I have worked with a lot with Indigenous clients from many of the surrounding BC nations near where I live. A majority of my experience has been supporting people struggling with grief, addiction and various kinds of trauma.
Additionally, I work with people faced with depression, anxiety, and work burnout. In my career I have enjoyed offering family counselling for parents and teens, and supporting men who are dealing with anger and emotional regulation. I am also an experienced group therapy facilitator, running groups on emotional regulation, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and relapse prevention (addiction).

I am a senior psychotherapist at FreeMind Therapy and a Registered Social Worker in British Columbia. Over the years, I worked in several healthcare roles in hospice and long-term care, addictions and mental health, and community roles. I have worked as a therapist in both community and agency roles, offering both short and long-term counselling services.
In my work, I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for clients to explore and remove life barriers. I believe that all behaviour does serve a purpose, and that purpose is usually to meet an unmet need. Through the work of therapy, you can develop a deeper understanding of what protective mechanisms such as anxiety, self-harm and addiction have played a role in your life.
Together, we can explore and discover what you need to feel supported to overcome these challenges and to experience growth and change. Combining both body and mind approaches, I tailor my therapeutic methods to suit your specific situation. I understand that every individual is unique, and I am here to guide you on your personal journey to healing and self-discovery.

You might seem fine on the outside - holding things together and showing up for others. But underneath, something feels off. Maybe it’s the anxiety that is getting louder, the relationships that are harder to connect with, or past trauma that keeps showing up.
Your nervous system adapted to help you get through some of your hardest experiences. But those adaptations might not be relevant anymore and may be keeping you stuck, disconnected or living life on autopilot. I am passionate about helping you find your way back to your true self. Therapy with me offers a space to slow down, connect again, and start to shift what is no longer serving you.
My approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and compassion. I integrate both brain-based and body-based methods to bring about deeper, more lasting change, and offer tools that you will be able to carry with you as you move through life.
You don’t need to have the answers to get started, you just need to take the first step. Let’s connect for a consult!

You are here because you’ve been feeling stuck, in the thoughts, feelings or behaviours that you’re tired of living with. You are worn out from the toll of anxiety, trauma, or sleepless nights and ready for change.
I use a brain-based, experiential approach to healing (Mindfulness, NLP, clinical hypnotherapy and RRT) to pin point and resolve the root of the issue. With an unconventional style, this is different from traditional talk-therapy as we are working with both the conscious and subconscious mind. I provide you with tangible tools you will use for life, and aim to give you an uplifting, positive experience in therapy.
My intention is that you walk away from counselling with a breakthrough in areas of prior stuckness. I work to get my clients RESULTS, and I am very motivated to do so.
EXPERIENCE
With over 15 years of clinical experience in the field, I am the Founder and Clinic Director at FreeMind Therapy, and a Senior Psychotherapist. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of the Fraser Valley. I have completed over 450 hours of Rapid Resolution Therapy training with the Institute for Rapid Resolution Therapy. I also supervise counsellors in training through Yorkville University and the University of Calgary, while supporting a group practice of skilled, master level therapists.
I am most passionate about healing trauma, particularly military trauma and sexual trauma. Other passions are healing insomnia, Anxiety, and particularly social anxiety & phobias.
Over the years I have utilized many approaches to counselling. Due to my role as Clinic Director, my caseload is limited to a smaller number of clients, and therefore my primary offering is for shorter term therapy using Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT). I also offer therapy for Veterans, under Medavie and PCVRS.
